Aceso (dbL) - 2008 Arab Mare
April 2021 - Pulled Shoes and Set Up Trim
This is where the actual border of the live insensitive frog and the dead overgrown frog is at this point in time on this foot. I see this atrophied frog bulb shape on most feet that have been shod in steel or improperly trimmed for long periods of time.

April 2021 - second trim (3 week interval)
Aceso has a nice sized paddock with several herd mates where they get a lot of movement, but it’s not enough for sufficient self wear. I still need to keep them on a 3 week trim schedule to simulate that.

If you zoom in on these you can see how I left the heel contact points alone until the last photo on the right. I didn’t correct the heel height here because they’re balanced here. In the second photo to the left of center, I didn’t roll the outer wall yet. I’ll include a detail of this in the next upload.
This shows the imbalanced outer wall growth. I have the back of the foot balanced ( back of the bulbs to the widest part of the foot ) now so the outer wall will follow this in time.
This shows how the solar corrections effect the boney column/hoof capsule alignment. This is pre trim/post trim from this latest trim.
