Even though the inner wall and outer wall have separated, I still trim to unload the inner wall and wait for the well connected wall to grow down ( which relies on maintaining a proper heel/frog shape and relationship.
March 2022 - Trimming to make corrections on a crooked limb while the horse is in work.
Swollen hind due crookedness and toe loading. The remedy will be trimming to relieve frog pressure and finding the true crookedness.

August 2022 - after more than a month of rain in an outdoor muddy stall. The owner reported that she’s feeling and moving better. I can tell she feels better because she trusts me with her feet now and her expression is more open.
About 2 years progress. The left pic is from a few months after pulling steel shoes and she squared off the toe pretty severely from being used to toe loading. The pics in the right are from her trim yesterday.
