Hidalgo (dbL)

Hidalgo was a little dangerous to trim. He had pretty severe PTSD from the way he was treated by previous owners. Each time I trimmed him I convinced him that I was only there to rehab his feet. With ears pinned, teeth beared, and haunches ready to spin and kick, he let me get a full trim finished every time. He always felt like he needed to remind me who I was dealing with at the beginning of every trim, but we always got along fine once I got in and got the first frog trimmed. It was rewarding watching him go from a horse that could barely walk to one that could gallop around his 10 acre paddock.
